If you feel called to deepen your practice and share your passion for yoga with others Sangha Yoga would love to support you on the next phase of your journey.  

Sangha Yoga School is an 8-month immersion program that is designed to deepen your practice and awaken your true teacher within. Our 200-hour course provides you with the knowledge and the tools to utilize the most intuitive aspects of your nature to facilitate a deeper practice experience for yourself. If you feel called to teach you will graduate our training knowing how to authentically share your passion for yoga with others.

Our curriculum is well balanced and aligned with the Eight Limbs of Yoga. We believe that staying true to the roots of the practice is the most powerful way to awaken your inner teacher and the most profound method of fostering your self-discovery.

Group Practice Teaching; TT's will take portions of a class, plan a sequence or practice and teach in small groups

Intuitive Group Teaching: TT's will practice allowing their inner teacher to guide them by taking turns teaching a portion of a class without prior planning

Class Observation: TT's will be required to observe and write a reflection of 4 group classes led by a Sangha Yoga Instructor

Other Requirements

All TT's will be required to take 3 classes a week-1 class from lead trainer, Heather Falkin, and 2 others from a Sangha Yoga trainer

2 to 3 hours of homework a week to keep up on reading and written assignments

Seva Class

  • a group led class for charity

  • designed, coordinated and marketed by your selected group

  • to be taught on arranged date prior to the end of the training


  • each student will create and teach a 75 minute class for their trainers and their fellow trainees

  • final written exam completed with a grade of 70% or above

    • Heather has 21 years of practice time on the mat and in life. She was certified in 2002 from Samadhi Yoga which used to reside on 12th and Pike.   • Trainer | Anatomy + Asana Lab - Julia Hollenburg RYT 500hr

    • Julia is a yoga teacher of 10 years, and a Food + Body Therapist. She is passionate about helping people to reconnect to themselves through movement and mindfulness, and to create a trusting and peaceful relationship to their body. Julia is an e-RYT 500 and has been teaching since 2009. She completed her training at ISHTA Yoga in New York City with Yogiraj Alan Finger, Sarah Platt Finger, and Jean Koerner. READ MORE

  • Trainer | Asana Lab -Michelle Befus RYT 200 hr. 500hr

    • Michelle received her 200 and 500 hour teaching certification with Pacific Yoga and is registered with Yoga Alliance as a continuing education provider. She lives in Seattle, WA and offers group and private classes, as well as workshops, retreats, continuing education and healing Sound Baths across the Pacific Northwest. READ MORE

    • Nancy's classes emphasize clarity of alignment and a steady connection to the breath.
